There are good twists and there are bad twists. An example of a good twist is Bruce Willis discovering he’s been dead the whole time at the end of Sixth Sense. Not many people saw that coming the first time they saw the movie, it took people by surprise, it got your min spinning, and it enriched the film. A bad twist is a cheap shot, a retread of other twists, or an easy way out of a bad situation. The second coming of the Big Brother 12 saboteur has all three qualities of a bad twist. Let’s start at the beginning.
As we all know, Big Brother 12 is subtitled the Summer of Sabotage, but who is Allison Grodner(executive producer of BB) trying to fool? We all know the real subtitle of this season should be the Summer of Desperation…or Manipulation. The twist started off lame enough, with Annie attempting to do physical acts of sabotage involving tapes, locks, and noise makers on the house while making a few videos. It gave the houseguests something to talk about and it gave America something to vote on, but we all know how this ended; Annie flipping out and self-sabotaging her game and getting evicted week one. I can imagine the dumbfounded expression on Grodner’s face when she realized mid-week 1 that her “twist” this year was already a colossal failure, so she decides to throw the evictees into sequester, as a back-up plan so that eventually one could be brought back in the house. Well…we all know how that went as well; after Monet and Andrew were evicted she scrapped that idea and let them out of sequester. My guess is that she only decided to sequester people incase one of her favorite drama (ratings) makers got evicted early, like Rachel.
Around mid-week four is when Grodner had a change of heart and decided she wanted to try her wonderful saboteur twist again, she figured it was either that or bring back a jury member later in the game to be voted out again, but why waste all of everyone’s fantastic saboteur ideas? So we get an America’s vote and Ragan is chosen as the new saboteur, he has to last two weeks and complete six acts of sabotage and he gets $20,000. Now when I hear six acts of sabotage I figure that means six physical acts of sabotage and he would have to make videos too. Not the case. So far Ragan’s reign as saboteur has yielded nothing but videos, most with lame messages that the houseguests don’t believe and laugh at. One problem is that Grodner hasn’t really used any of America’s ideas; she probably scribbles something down on a sticky note and sticks it on the fake laptop for Ragan to read then forces him to make a corny video. Where are the physical acts of sabotage?? When I tune into the Big Brother Live Feeds, I want to see Ragan dump the alcohol or hide the soap, shampoo, and razors, or write a threatening message in blood on the bathroom mirror while everyone sleeps.
Topher Edit: The Saboteur finally does something today 8/17 at 8:25 PM BBT on Cams 1 and 2. He placed a note under Enzo’s pillow that says, “I know your Secret!”. Let’s hope Enzo loses it after he sees it and turns the house upside down.
I am not to optimistic about this turning into something big, but you might as well tune into the feeds to see if it is.

They should call this the season of transparent predictability. Not one Hg has had an original idea. They are all trying to replay previous seasons. The brigade is the only semi original thing and thats only because it has managed to remain a secret for so long. I think if they want soemthing new they should recruit hg’s that have never or rarely watched big brother, at least the reactions would be a little more genuine. The only thing that keeps me even remotely interested is the outside chance that britneys boobs might spontaneously burst forth from her clothing. Beyond that this season has been one huge snooze fest, great cure for insomnia!!!!
I think what ruins the whole ‘Sabateur’ idea is that the HOH spy cameras are on 24/7, so when you get ‘chickensh*ts’ like Ragan, who wont have the nutsac to do the ‘physical’ sabateur pranks.
Dumbest twist ever.
When bb allowed Rachel to leave a message for Brandon with broken up pretzel’s in the HOH room when she came back into the house for 24 hours was wake-up call for me. They put her up to that , ” for sure “. A heart meaning I Love You, & Matt;s name under it, was dead wrong. Then Matt asking bb about it & they told him ” They didn’t see her do it ” ya-right, with all the camera” in that house & they were on her most of this season. It’s a set up. And as for rating’s, bb has never won any awards for bb’er. But i’ll keep watching to finish out this season, but not next year, it’s the same-o , same-o. The house guest know the games & everything by heart now. Same games, same weeks & now it’s borning.
